BPI for Legal is effectively a workflow system for which Whitehill have developed a number of canned processes such as New Business Intake, New Hire Intake, and Check Requests (or cheques as we like to call them).
The new connectors allow users to define data flows and workflows across common legal applications including (but apparently not limited to) "Interwoven, LexisNexis, DTE, Thomson Elite, and Open Text".
Looks like it could be a serious competitor to Metastorm in the legal space, particularly if the connectors work out of the box.
