For those of us using Elite for practice management, Clarity Systems have launched "Clarity 6.1 Legal Edition". Although we're unsure of how relevant the standard models will be to the Asia-Pac market, the software at least sounds like it's worth a look at.

The product is essentially a budgeting and planning package, which claims to offer "easy collaboration during the budgeting cycle, real time aggregations, driver based budgeting, top down planning through global assumptions, and bottom up adjustments by regional offices as well as other processes necessary to create successful plans for law firms".

If the Elite integration works out of the box it may make life easier for harassed finance departments who must currently undertake a very manual process to forecast, model and graph their budgets and workplans.
