Allens Arthur Robinson, one of Australia's top five firms (well, they're fifth or third, depending how you cut it) have announced that they will make the move to Aderant's Expert practice management system.
While many will view the move as more of an upgrade than a migration (Allens already use Aderant's Keystone system) the decision is something of a vote of confidence in Aderant, particularly in light of the recent sale of the company.
It will be interesting to see whether other users of the legacy Keystone system follow suit. The majority of Keystone users such as Blake Dawson must be experiencing some frustration with the Oracle based product and looking to move to a more modern platform. As law firms are notorious for "playing it safe" and buying the most common product, and as the choices available at the moment are really only Elite 3E and Aderant Expert, the decision by Allens may push more firm's Aderant's way.
