Susskind predicts the end of lawyers

E-mail Print PDF
Richard Susskind, our favourite legal prophet of doom is spruiking his new book "End of Lawyers", with a series of extracts in the Times.

Regardless of whether you're a true believer who sits at home waiting for Susskind's invading army of robot attorneys, or a sceptic, drafting your boilerplate by hand, the articles make for interesting reading.

Susskind continues his thesis set out in the "The Future of Law", that the legal industry needs to question many of its deep held beliefs or go the way of the trade guilds. While we're sceptical of the level of change possible in the time frames that Susskind proposes, any analysis of legal business processes must inherently be a good thing.

There's also some excellent debate happening in the comments of each article, so be sure to scroll all the way down.
