The conference included Peter William from Deloitte Digital's impressively enthusiastic overview of the the way the web is moving, Apple's view of how applications for the iPhone will change the world and Auslegal's Chris McLean reviewing the future of enterprise technology and how it will impact law firms.
Terry Bohan from Timeframe Consulting has published a good overview here: http://www.timeframesoftware.com/blog/
The other side of the conference is the annual Lawtech Awards. The years winners were:
* CMS Lawtech Awards for Innovation -Liift
* CMS Lawtech Award for Best Practice Knowledge Management-Kells the Lawyers
* CMS Lawtech Award for Security and Risk Management-ABL - Arnold Bloch Leibler
* CMS Lawtech Award For Legal IT team of the Year (Small to Medium)-Anderssen Lawyers
* CMS Lawtech Award for Legal IT of The Year Large-No award given: None of the nominations submitted filled the criteria
* CMS Lawtech Award for the most innovative in house Technology Project-AGS - Australia Government Solicitor
Impressively, the judges declined to present an award in the large law firm category. Perhaps it can be put down to the lack of a presence from Mallesons and Deacons this year.
