While it's not really legal technology, the system gives an interesting insight into Microsoft's intention to enter the document management sphere. The system is based on Sharepoint 2007 and provides tools for "quickly building complex workflows, monitoring the performance of those workflows and facilitating the reviews and approvals in the workflow process by pushing tasks and forms directly to the recipient's Microsoft Office Outlook(R) inbox or to an RSS feed."
Although this solution is specifically for the multimedia industry, it may not be too long before Microsoft offers similar Sharepoint based document management/workflow solutions tailored to the legal market.
