Local IT shop Docscorp have just announced the release of version 1.9 of their "pdfDocs Desktop" product.

PDFdocs appears to be gaining popularity in the legal IT market as an alternative to the full Acrobat product. The company has announced that the new version offers:

• Tighter integration with Hummingbird/Open Text, Interwoven and WORLDOX
• A feature to allow saving directly from Word into the DMS
• The ability to right click on a document in the DMS and provide a digital signature
• The ability to right-click on a form within the DMS to edit, amend, digitally sign or email to others
• A function to split PDFs by size or page number
• and last but not least, an enhanced interface
