Local company DocsCorp have announced a partnership with Payne Consulting Group, makers of "Metadata Assistant". While Payne doesn't have a large presence in Australasia their product is as popular as Workshare for metadata removal in the states (the recent ILTA survey gave them each a 28% market share).

The linkup seems a good move from both sides, as the combination provides PDF creation and editing (DocsCorp), document comparison (DocsCorp) and metadata removal (Payne). If that sounds familiar, the list pretty much encompasses the features of Workshare's product set.

The other plus is that DocsCorp will gain access to Payne's significant US customer base and Payne to DocsCorp's Australasian users.
