DocuComp have been in the document comparison business since 1988 and have an impressive list of clients including Abn-Amro, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch.
The two companies have apparently been sharing technology since 2006, which has assisted DocsCorp in the development of their pdfDocs compareDocs product that can compare almost anything with almost anything else (PDFs, Word, Tiffs etc).
The acquisition looks like it will give DocsCorp both a boost to their comparison algorithms and an entrance into a much bigger slice of the international market.
