Following on From Hummingbird's announcement XMLAW have announced the release of their “SharePoint Enterprise Portal System for Law Firms” which is apparently a tool to allow “firms to integrate their line-of-business systems within SharePoint, search all a firm’s content sources from within SharePoint, and dynamically organize content to support the way professionals work.”

While it is difficult to determine exactly what the new product does (it is not currently listed as a product on their web site) it looks as though it is an aggregation of their already available Sharepoint Web Parts for Interwoven Worksite, LexisNexis Interaction and a generic database access plugin.

It doesn’t seem to specify whether there is also a global search aggregation tool or if any new Web Parts are included.
